Am I a Wise Person?

It’s Easy to Judge ?
It’s Easy to Judge others ! Isn’t it?

But,
How many of us can ask this question of judging their own self?

Let’s Ask.

Am I a Good Person!
Am I a Wise Person!
What is exactly Being Wise?
Who is a Wise Person?
What qualities a wise person can possess?
Who can judge a person how wise a person is?
Am I a persona non Greta?

Answers ain’t easy.

Not tough either!
May not sound Wise but question is loud and genuine, yet unanswerable!

Isn’t it?

H W Longfellow mentioned once, One conversation with a wise man is better than 10 years of studying books.

That sounds pleasing. The day I started searching a Wise person to get an endorsement for myself, it turned out to be a tough task.

Don’t be surprised.!

When a society is full of different grades of low quotients of intelligence, one should not ignore other social quotient as well.

Emotional quotient is also considerable.

You can beat 40 scholars with one fact, but you can’t beat one idiot with 40 facts.

Same way, Great physician William Osler said,

The young physician starts life with 20 drugs for each disease, and the old physician ends life with one drug for 20 diseases.”
Why!
Because he travelled from being Intelligent to Wise.
Isn’t it?

Intelligence & Wisdom are same?
No !

Where intelligence is more of an academic accomplishment, Wisdom is Application.
Wisdom is more of application of learnt education combined with intuition & accumulated experiences through time.

Is a Wise person carrier of Wisdom.

Is wisdom, just a far fetched echo of life experiences which is not heard or felt always.

Osler said,

One must Look wise, Say nothing, and grunt. Speech was given to conceal thought.

The clean tongue, the clear head and the bright eye are birth rights of each day.
