Lottery in a long haul flight (382)

(A Travelogue in both English & हिंदी)

Can a long-haul flight, be a Beautiful Surprise.

Or a treat while cruising at 970km per hour on an altitude of 20000 feet.

And you look out through the window and an unexpected lottery is awarded.

Most of the times all long flights beyond 10 hrs are just pathetic in economy class too.

Congested leg room, uncomfortable seats, impossible posture to sleep, battery of repeated safety instructions to follow and almost a nagging continuous noise to bore anyones eardrum. But motive of Time saved is time gained, keeps one on these flying machines to reach out and be back to comfort zone ASAP.

Such was a time when a flight was taken from Chicago to Delhi.
Nonstop.
14.20 hrs of flying.
No layover.
No question of any lounge.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, making a roaring sound to take off with almost 300 people on board.
Chocoblock.
Filled to fullest all across. 3 columns of seats to have 52 rows and each row is accommodating 9 almost non cozy seats.

You ascend to 35000Ft and head towards North pole over Canada, Greenland and Sweden to descend the to Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakistan, Afganistan, Pakistan and then our Motherland Bharat.

All went through just like an inevitable torture until dawn. The flight started descending to 20000 Ft above the landscaping called HinduKush where from starts Mountain Ranges of Mighty Himalayas.
Look out from the aeroplane window and you are just stunned.

Mesmerised.
Feel obliged to scene down below.
And you murmur, 🙇‍♂️
Oh.
Wow.
Just Awe.

The Him ranges gave a view of lifetime when one glazes a birds eye view of pristine snow-clad mountain peaks. The Binocular view of these Mountains are more than just being called Beautiful.

The top view caters
Mountain Peaks,
Horny Ridges,
Revering Ravines,
Snow all over
Patterns unexpectedly unexplainable
Rivers in between and
Deemed footprints of God Almighty or Mother Nature whatever one may think of.

The shining Sun bestow upon all its light energy with grit and tenacity to present a series of picturesque beauty which turns out to be a blessing if one notices with a heart filled with Gratitude and contentment.

This down-under feast runs almost for 90 minutes before one leaves HinduKush region and enter Pakistan where Greyish planes take away the charming visual lottery of Himalaya. The camera limits are obvious to take Pictures and record Slo-Mo or Time-Lapse or regular Video and one who sees through natural Binocular vision that can’t be perceived through these Pics. Still one can note the beauty and add this lottery to his/her bucket list.

क्या हवाई जहाज़ की सवारी एक अनजाने सुख का स्रोत हो सकती है?
या 20000 फ़ीट की ऊँचाई पर 970 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ़्तार से उड़ान भरना एक अनसोचे प्रकार की दावत हो सकती है?

जब आप उड़ान के दौरान खिड़की से बाहर देखते हैं और आपकी एक अनजाने में ही लॉटरी लग जाती है।

ज़्यादातर बार 10 घंटे से ज़्यादा की सभी लंबी दूरी की उड़ानें इकॉनमी क्लास में भी कष्टकारी होती हैं। पैर फैलाने लायक़ अपर्याप्त स्थान, असुविधाजनक सीटें, सोने के लिए असंभव मुद्रा, बार-बार सुरक्षा निर्देशों का पालन करने के निर्देश और लगभग किसी के भी कान के पर्दे को फाड़ ही देने वाली लगातार इंजनों का शोर.

लेकिन समय की बचत का मकसद ही है, जो इन उड़ने वाली मशीनों पर सवार लोगों को जल्दी से जल्दी आराम की स्थिति में वापस आने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।

एक मौक़ा ऐसा हुआ जब शिकागो से दिल्ली के लिए एक उड़ान भरी गई थी।

बिना रुके…

14.20 घंटे की उड़ान…

कोई ठहराव नहीं.

किसी लाउंज का सवाल ही नहीं।

बोइंग 787 ड्रीमलाइनर, लगभग 250 लोगों के साथ उड़ान भरने के लिए दहाड़ता हुआ लगभग 12000 किलोमीटर की यात्रा को पूरा करने को तैयार

बोइंग जहाज हर जगह पूरी तरह भरा हुआ. 52 पंक्तियों वाली सीटों के 3 कॉलम और प्रत्येक पंक्ति में 9 लगभग गैर-आरामदायक सीटें सब यात्रियों से पूरित.

आप 35000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर उड़ान भरते हैं और कनाडा, ग्रीनलैंड, नॉर्वे और स्वीडन से होते हुए उत्तरी ध्रुव की ओर बढ़ते हैं, जहाँ से रूस, उज्बेकिस्तान, कजाकिस्तान, अफगानिस्तान, पाकिस्तान और फिर हमारी मातृभूमि भारत पर उतरते हैं।

भोर होने तक सब कुछ एक अपरिहार्य यातना की तरह था। उड़ान हिंदुकुश नामक भूदृश्य से 20000 फीट ऊपर उतरना शुरू हुई, जहाँ से शक्तिशाली हिमालय की पर्वत श्रृंखलाएँ शुरू होती हैं।
हवाई जहाज की खिड़की से बाहर देखें और आप बस दंग रह जाएँगे।

हिम पर्वतमालाएँ जीवन भर का नज़ारा देती हैं जब कोई प्राचीन बर्फ से ढकी पर्वत चोटियों का विहंगम दृश्य देखता है। इन पर्वतों का नैनों से किया दर्शन कैमरा के द्वारा लिए गए फोटोचित्र से कहीं अधिक विहंगम है।

ऊपर से देखने पर
बर्फ से आच्छादित पहाड़ की चोटियाँ,
सींगदार पहाड़ियाँ,
गहरी घाटियाँ,
हर जगह बर्फ़
अप्रत्याशित रूप से अस्पष्ट पैटर्न
बीच में नदियाँ
भगवान सर्वशक्तिमान या माँ प्रकृति के पदचिह्न जैसे दृश्य देखे जाते हैं, जो कोई सोच भी नहीं सकता है।

चमकता हुआ सूरज अपनी सारी प्रकाश ऊर्जा के साथ धैर्य और दृढ़ता के साथ सुरम्य सौंदर्य की एक श्रृंखला प्रस्तुत करता है जो एक आशीर्वाद बन जाता है अगर कोई कृतज्ञता और संतोष से भरे दिल से देखता है।

दृष्टि की यह दावत लगभग 90 मिनट तक चलती है इससे पहले कि आप हिंदूकुश क्षेत्र से निकलकर पाकिस्तान में प्रवेश करें जहाँ भूरे रंग के जमीनी दृश्य हिमालय के आकर्षक दृश्य की लॉटरी को छीन लेते हैं। तस्वीरें लेने और स्लो-मो या टाइम-लैप्स या नियमित वीडियो रिकॉर्ड करने के लिए कैमरे की सीमाएँ स्पष्ट हैं और जो प्राकृतिक दूरबीन दृष्टि से देखता है जिसे इन तस्वीरों के माध्यम से नहीं देखा जा सकता है। फिर भी कोई सुंदरता को देख सकता है और इस लॉटरी को अपनी इच्छा- सूची में जोड़ सकता है।
