The Terminal – Movie Review

Uncertainty and probability are part and parcel of anybody’s life and both of these factors go hand in hand. This movie by Steven Spielberg showcases an altogether different storyline where a passenger from Bulgaria is stuck at an airport and the situation is so perturbed that he cannot go out in the city, nor can he take a flight back home.

Tom Hanks played the lead role of a Bulgarian immigrant at JFK Airport in New York. The unthinkable situation of living at an airport presents a hilarious mark for anyone. People have been noted to stay for a longer duration of time at any Bus Stand or Railway Station but getting stuck at an International Airport for 18 long years gives goosebumps which is the background of this eventful story.

This movie gives an inside-out picture of working and shortcomings at any International Airport where the migration process is conducted.

Katherine Jones as cabin crew has tried to generate a love story as well. Tom Hanks has been outstanding as always, and he gives as he lives almost in thin air with all his senses awake. Life is like that only probable and uncertain yet you are bound to get like-minded companions with whom you can stay as friends.

This picture depicts such a situation where one’s belief also is strengthened to live life as it comes to you. Don’t try to stop the flow of life or don’t push it to the edge.

Overall the movie The Terminal is an altogether different experience on Celluloid to come across as a true life event of an Iranian citizen at Paris International Airport.

अनिश्चितता और संभावना किसी के भी जीवन का अभिन्न अंग हैं और दोनों एक साथ चलते हैं। स्टीवन स्पीलबर्ग की यह मूवी एक बिलकुल अलग कहानी पेश करती है, जिसमें बुल्गारिया का एक यात्री एयरपोर्ट पर फंस जाता है और स्थिति इतनी विक्षुब्ध होती है कि वह एयरपोर्ट से बाहर शहर में नहीं जा सकता, न ही वह घर वापस जाने के लिए फ्लाइट ले सकता है।

टॉम हैंक्स ने न्यूयॉर्क के जेएफके एयरपोर्ट पर एक बुल्गारियाई अप्रवासी की मुख्य भूमिका निभाई है। एयरपोर्ट पर रहने की अकल्पनीय स्थिति किसी के लिए भी एक हास्यास्पद अनुभव होती है। लोगों को किसी भी बस स्टैंड या रेलवे स्टेशन पर लंबे समय तक रुकते हुए देखा गया है, लेकिन 18 साल तक किसी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट पर फंसना रोंगटे खड़े कर देता है, जो इस सत्य पर आधारित, घटनापूर्ण कहानी की पृष्ठभूमि है। यह मूवी किसी भी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट पर काम करने और कमियों की अंदरूनी तस्वीर पेश करती है, जहाँ माइग्रेशन प्रक्रिया संचालित की जाती है।

कैथरीन जोन्स ने केबिन क्रू के रूप में एक प्रेम कहानी बनाने की भी कोशिश की है। टॉम हैंक्स हमेशा की तरह बेहतरीन रहे हैं, और उन्होंने अपनी सारी इंद्रियों को जगाए रखते हुए लगभग पतली हवा में रहते हुए भी कुछ दिया है। जीवन ऐसा ही है, केवल संभावना और अनिश्चितता, फिर भी आपको ऐसे साथी मिल ही जाते हैं, जिनके साथ आप दोस्त बनकर रह सकते हैं।

यह चित्र ऐसी स्थिति को दर्शाता है, जहाँ व्यक्ति का विश्वास भी जीवन को वैसे ही जीने के लिए मजबूत होता है, जैसा कि वह आपके पास आता है। जीवन के प्रवाह को रोकने की कोशिश न करें या इसे किनारे पर न धकेलें।

कुल मिलाकर फिल्म द टर्मिनल सेल्युलाइड पर पेरिस अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर एक ईरानी नागरिक के जीवन की सच्ची घटना के रूप में सामने आने वाला एक बिल्कुल अलग अनुभव है।
